We want to contribute to a long-term guarantee of our health care institutions – taking into account economic and qualitative aspects. Furthermore we are interested in developing further health care and social systems with the corresponding economic benefit.

For that reason shm focuses on innovations that do not only cover the intramural and extramural sector but also have a trans-sectoral effect in terms of “concepts for integrated health care”. In addition we research and develop solutions that focus on the preservation and improvement of the quality of health care supply in such a way as to create an effective additional benefit for citizens and patients. We place emphasis on research and development of user-oriented products, solutions and services that are supported by innovative and appropriate ICT.

shm occupies with basic research as well as applied and experimental research. Co-operations with research institutes and commercial partners are constantly developed further.
